Its really unfortunate the coach was sack, instead of provide him with all the support, counselling and the logistics. Appiah is a human, not God and by the principle of lifes all humans are are bound to make mistakes or better put will not have success forever. I do remembered when Appiah took over this job, he was paid only $5,000 and he was delivering, even getting the nicknam "Silent killer" etc. He signed a new contract of US$ 36, 500 recently and so he need to be axed out? Oh Africa, is it envy or what?We all know that there is time for everything as Ecclesiastic stated" A time for joy and a time for happiness" why can't we endure sorry to to achieve happiness? Milo was paid several dollars to handle the team yet it was appiah who was doing the job, now lets ask, did they give appiah the same incentives as milo? is it because Appiah is a black? We always complain of racism but we are the pacetters of racism. When will Africans believe in ourself and accept and appreciate our own. It seems we are curse in every aspect of life because i do not know the bases of AA dismisser, great coaches lost in the first round of the world cup, did they fire them? It seems Ghanaians do not accept the fact that football/soccer is a game of entertainment and that our day to living is base on other aspect of the economy. No look paying this morron whopping $50,000/month with other incentives to just use already made players is what we all appreciated. Come to USA or any of the european country and see how many years it will take you to make $50, 000? and for that matter you being a black. HMMM we are still slaves in our land. Kudos Nyantekyi and his compatriot.

Pay off the guy, it will be money well spent so that the Black Stars will resume what they are good at doing, play good soccer. Please, GFA pay the guy off because Ghana and the Black Stars honestly merit his departure. The Black Stars will be better off without this absolute loser. Congratulations to the GFA for making the decision to let him go, notwithstanding the cost. That is what I call guts on their part, and we should all join in congratulating the GFA for doing the right thing. To Appiah, all the best to him. He needs a good rest a good distance away from soccer. One lesson to learn is not to take a job you cannot really handle. It was not in any body's interest that he took the coaching job of the Black Stars. This guy has put us all through enormous stress because of his incompetence that was absolutely unnecessary.

In fact, if we had any complaints, it was that he was being underpaid compared to his predecessors' salaries.
He got all our support, especially on their way to Brazil.
Most even supported the pre-World Cup contract, but the fool went there and decided to wait for the American players to get tired.
That was the beginning of his end.
No technical acumen.
Now he is going to collect $1 million to buy another house in London.
Stupid Nyantakyi, the king of kickback corruption, will get his share.

I think that the mian reason given by the gfa in sacking Akwasi Appia MUST seriously as a matter of urgent apply to Kwasi nyantakyi loking at what happened in Brazil, honestly it was not the duty of the Coach to solve the appeareance fees Problem it is the duty of the FA so failing to do that alone speak volume about how incompetent the whole members of the GFA are and must be deal with starting from the head.

I have given up on Ghana under pepeni and his NDC. Here was somebody called a coach like the president who is not performing and needed to be sacked after a terrible WC campaign. Suddenly within a week you renewed his contract. Amonth later, like non performing dramani, you sacked him and now going to pay him nearly one million dollars! Something is terribly not working in Ghana. This is how those countries that went to war started though. Something is wrong in Ghana

You made us proud indeed. Definitely the sudden termination of your contract would have to be . Especially coming after a good performance after beating the Togo national team.
Please have a good break and then plan very well over your rewarded gratuity or severance package of $876,000.
This is very handsome bulk payment to see you through for the rest of your life. Make good investment in broad: UK, USA, Germany, France, Holland etc and you would not regret.
Make tax-free investment or buy a property and rent out cheap for £1000 to £2000 per month minimum after all deduction. There are so many annuity investments you could take up, This would guarantee you good income for the rest of your life.

Mr. President, I rather encourage you to wake up over this issue. We were made to believe that Milo was coming as a technical director. which in fact we don't even need. We've 4 times won the CAN in the past with local coaches. We've had a good number of expartrites who gave us nothing other than being runners up. The country is currently in serious economic/financial crises and people are just wasting money. The government is owing hospitals for unpaid NHIS bills yet Mr. President, this is going on and you seem to sit down watching. Please aid the poor Ghanaian. Let us be fair to ourselves. I am seriously expecting you to bring someone to book over this blantant waste of the poor taxpayer's money being stolen by so called GFA ewxecutives.
May God save Ghana.

I can't believe what I am reading! Wow, this is monecracy, indeed! GFA, the Ministry of Sports and Government must sit up and make sure the tax payers money does not go into the drain. A Presidential Commission is required to be set up to investigate the pros and cons and punish whoever is responsible for this or stop any payment altogether.
I suggest as a layman, if it is possible let AA continue to be at the helm of affairs as a coach the new coach also plays his part. It may lead to confusion in a way but it must be pressed upon the s Stars that they are responsible to the new coach and not AA. AA may be forced to stay on the quiet or quit and in this way the issue of compensation will not occur. Let's give it a trial and see the outcome.

Sacking coach Appiah is no surprise but what is surprising is the reason for which the GFA claimed he was sacked. This reason is: the coach went public to deny that he requested for a technical adviser. In other words, had Kwesi Appiah not revealed that he did not want a technical adviser, he would not have been sacked. So for the GFA, Appiah's failure is not about his incompetence as a coach but about he opposing the idea of a technical adviser. It can therefore be concluded that, the GFA considered the employment of a technical adviser to help the coach as something wonderful that they were ready to sack the coach for publicly disagreeing with it.
It is surprising that the GFA does not know that the employment of a technical adviser to help the coach is not a wise step to take. Interestingly the man who was going to be employed as a technical adviser, Milovan Rajeva, has refused to be a technical adviser. According reports, Milovan would only like his employment as Ghana’s head coach and not as a technical adviser. This means that even the man who the GFA wanted to employ as technical adviser has rubbished the idea. The sensible thing to do is to have a head coach who would have the freedom to appoint his technical team. But to appoint a technical adviser for your head coach is madness since it is like deliberately fomenting confusion.
Now that the coach (Kwesi Appiah), for whom the GFA was employing a technical adviser, has been sacked, I hope the GFA will be wise enough to know that the technical adviser project automatically has been terminated. It will be foolhardiness for the GFA to convert the technical adviser recruitment into a head coach recruitment. The ordinariness and in fact the mediocrity of Milovan Rajevac is clear for any sensible person to notice. After Ghana had put him in the international spotlight, Milovan did not find it difficult to get a coaching job after leaving Ghana but his performance was miserable as a coach. Under him as a coach, Qatar surprisingly lost 2-1 each to India (in a friendly match at home) and Vietnam (in a world cup qualifier). No doubt he was quickly sacked and ever since (ie 2011) he has not been able to get a coaching job. For us to go for such a person as our coach after sacking Kwesi Appiah would expose the GFA as unwise.

Kwasi Appiah fraudulently took USD100,000 as an appearance fee which he was not entitled to. That is a serious crime and a breach of contract. He should have been sacked for that alone. Thus giving him another USD1m is out of place. He was on contract, being paid on agreement so he DID NOT QUALIFY FOR APPEARANCE FEE. This later money should therefore not be paid. STUPID DECISION.WHEN SHALL WE RID OURSELVES OF SLAVE MENTALITY?THERE IS NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THIS MILO COACH
You new that you were going to fire him yet you sign a contract with him. So who pay this money now. GFA President or Tax Payers Money. We need an explanation to this.
GFA should come out and explain why a couple of days before the world cup they prolonged Akwasi Appiah's contract? Now they 're going to pay this whooping sum to Appiah for breach of contract, with their corruppt attitude the ...

NONSENSE!!!
It is very unfair to fire Appiah at this time and replace him with a "MILO" who was unfaithful to Ghana. If is the Brazil saga, it is GFA who should answer for the player misconduct and not Appiah. SHAME
This GFA action is well-planned, believe me! The GFA wanted K Appiah to have substantial money home. This country called Ghana, a day will come.
This is appalling. Why extend KA's contract knowing very well that he was pencilled to be sacked? It was so crafted to dupe yet again the sporting populace of Ghana. This in effect would mute KA if he had any grievances or an ...

HOW MUCH IS MR KWESI NYANTAKYI TAKING BY WAY OF KICKBACK?
This whole thing was pre-meditated because the stupid nyantakyie anticipated that in sight and hurriedly renewed and extended his contract thereby making sure his share of the booty was always at stake if the coach was fired. ...

Kwasi make sure you take all your money
from. GFA even people are crying for white president
I do not support the GFA's rash action. We have always known that the GFA would always prefer a foreign coach to their own Ghanaian Coach. Soccer imperialism!
Na Ghana money people de chop am nyafunyafu. It is now the turn of inept Akwesi Appiah. It doesn't make any difference when the likes of Alfred Woyome and his gangs are raping Ghana to the core.
So first renewal of Contract and then sacking him.
Are you people serious at all.
They all need to be sacked.
this fool is taking that whopping money.eiii ghana
Sacking coach Appiah is no surprise but what is surprising is the reason for which the GFA claimed he was sacked. This reason is: the coach went public to deny that he requested for a technical adviser. In other words, had Kw ...

that is how they do it. Sign contract that cause financial loss to the state
I wonder what Milo can do differently that we have to continue wasting our money this way. $50,000 a month? What did they pay coach Kwesi Appiah. Kwame Nkrumah called it Neo-Colonialism
thanks
Kwasi Appiah fraudulently took USD100,000 as an appearance fee which he was not entitled to. That is a serious crime and a breach of contract. He should have been sacked for that alone. Thus giving him another USD1m is out of ...

Nantakyi is the next person to go,infact he should be sack
Yep, I got it. Instead of waiting for the so-called Presidential Commission to submit it's report, they rushed to renew Kwesi Appiah's contract. The government has always known the useless coach was going to go anyway.
That was the reason he hurriedly renewed his contract amidst gross incompetence
This is causing financial loss to the state. Those who appointed him should be surcharged
