Well, man, the point is that it should not have taken the GFA so long to have realized that Appiah was simply an absolute mistake. With the players he had, he should have gone places with them. The guy has stressed out some of us big time, by his poor handling of his coaching duties on the line during matches, which at least showed he had no clue on what was going on, on the playing pitch. We just cannot let it be, just like that, because some of us have been grieving since the exit of the Stars from Brazil, given its enormous potential. The Black Stars did not have to exit in that way, irrespective of the other teams in the group, no, they should not. Therefore, not letting go the whole sordid experience, is the only sane therapy available to some committed fans of the Stars who were so let down. The other appropriate therapy then is to vent our anger and not just against Appiah alone but against the GFA for appointing such an incompetent to the post in the first place. What were they thinking! I cannot accept in all honesty that our national coach should be sent on a coaching course after he was appointed as the coach of the Black Stars. The idea here is that the GFA should never again take Ghanaians on that emotional roller coaster ride,due to their incompetence; never again. And if it means keeping the flames burning on the Appiah fiasco, so be it man, so be it. The Black Stars have become an international brand and not just a Ghanaian brand. This is something I am not so sure that the GFA is aware. Consequently, whatever happens to the Black Stars that could have been avoided, should be avoided. This is not some local league team in Ghana, it is the BLACK STARS, for crying out loud, people! If we all decided to fold our chairs and go home and sulk after the game, it is not going to send a message to those SOBs of the GFA. Man, we have no other recourse, so we have every right to vent our anger for as long as it takes. If Appiah gets hit in the process, it is because he was part of the equation of this total failure and melt-down of the Black Stars in Brazil. Too bad, if some people cannot appreciate the enormity of that debacle in Brazil. To get that hurt out of our systems, it is only normal and indeed fair game to go after the person considered responsible for causing that pain -- some may say it is the players, and I am among those who for very good reasons, will finger Appiah as the culprit here; so let some of us have the right to vent OK, Mister!This is not a reply to you Sir, because I do not, as a personal position, reply or comment on individual opinions; after all it is their opinion and they have every right to have those opinions, don't they! I believe you can all work with whichever coach is finally presented to you, but you cannot sit back and watch your countryman being messed around. Speak up, if you have the welfare of Ghana and Ghanaians at heart. Come together and tell the GFA that they cannot use Kwasi Appiah as a scape goat!
The Gfa as well as the ministry of Sports failed Ghana, and the bossesof these institutions must be held accountable, but not Kasi Appiah! If the whole ministry of sports turned up to become the ministry of food affairs, little wonder the Black stars performed so unsatisfactorily. Unsatisfactory, but not too bad! Teams like England who have been playing in the world cup for decades were booted out the same way as we were, so ours was not an isolated case. If the entire Brazil project had been managed properly, it would have reflected in our teams success. What is the GFA doing about the fact that there were no fans to cheer the team up during the Portugal game, even though the nation had wasted resources to send fans to Brazil just for that purpose?
Black Star players, stand up and support your coach. The GFA cannot sack Kwasi Appiah for winning against Togo. They should have done that after the draw with Uganda. But it makes no sense for sacking the manager after he had guided his team to win a match.
These GFA criminals know what they will get from employin this Milo man; they tried to bring him through the back door, because if they had made it clear that they were bringing him in to replace Kwasi Appiah, they would have failed. So let us tell them that a non-Ghanaian cannot be more patriotic than a Ghanaian. After all, they are going to pay this man whose track record was no better than Kwasi Appiah's about twice as much as they paid Kwasi Appiah for the same job! They know how much they stand to gain from this contract with the Milo! Stand up and protest against unfair treatment. Otherwise, one day, they same thing will be done to you. You have a foretaste of things to come from the Brazil experience!
