Only the best is good for Ghana football, and in my opinion, Kwarasey is one of Ghana's best, so why exclude him from the national team just because he said his mind. He is playing in one of Europes's elite premier leagues, and as captain. Is likely that he compared the training methods at his club to that of the Black Stars goal keeper coach and other grievances which happened at the world cup in Brazil, so why the fuss? In my opinion the selection committee should have looked into his grievances for a solution, which am sure is important for the national team than pinalising him. He had every possibility to play for Norway, but his heart beats for Ghana and must be honoured.

I don't care about who allowed the first ever goal in football, we are talking about the merits of retaining Kwarasey as our national keeper and I don't think he is half qualified for that position. I will dare you to check out the goals against him in Ghana's post and you will stop defending him. Anytime the ball goes past the defenders, it ends up in Kwarasey's net. At least Dauda makes some savings sometimes when our defenders are beat.

The Dempsey goal is the kind that differentiates between top-notch and average Goalkeeping. Even though Mensah and Boye had erred in allowing that over-rated ex-Baclays Premier League Player, Dempsey, got the better of them, the Goalie misplaced himself to concede that Goal.

As tall as Kwarasey is, he should have easily tipped that ball off the target. He only had to close in on the near post at a third body-length to be able cover the far post. But he made the common error of average Goalies in such circumstance to leave too much room to the far post. His anticipation was a little off on that Dempsey kick, as he failed to come out a little more to close the angles on both sides.

Had he come out a little farther he could have saved the shot with even a stretched foot, instead of a full-body outstretched dive. The time for his body to reach the ground and touch the ball was longer than it would have taken his leg to catch the ball at the near side.

So, he has room to grow and build the experience required for a top-notch Goalie. I think the comment on Kwarasey's scanty reach in the Air to intercept balls is also on the money.

He is almost always too hesitant or late to jump over all others to claim lofty shots. If only he could use his height to dominate the Air infront of the Goal, and show a little more aggressiveness, he might well reach far. Comparing him with the USA Goalie, Howard, for instance, reveals how bolder Howard is in claiming his domain in the Goal Area. Greater confidence and courage play a part in that development.

We need the guy, yes but I don't think he's different from the others so don't condemn the disciplinary action taken by the selection committee.
