Qualifiers are being played in various African countries. Why not continue the final phase of the tournament in that fashion. It reduces risk since no one country has to deal with all the travelers? I think there is a solution in the middle that could work. Top seeds host their group; group winners host quarters, higher seeds host semi, final and third place games. Let us look for solutions. This is not zero sum game. We should not look at this as have the tournament or cancel it. There is a way to do it safely.

I am told this Isa Hayatu,has used his personal position as CAF President, to build state of the art facilities in his backyard, Cameroon;so why does he organize the tournament from these FIFA-funded venues? And without needing any proof to support my suspicion,I bet that 'weasel' Kwasi Nyantakyi and his cabal,are behind the scene pulling the strings to have the event moved to this country.
They have co-opted naive,'crazy' and insensitive political operatives like Mahama Ayariga,the MOYS Minister, into leading such a silly campaingn to make this happen,even against the objections of a large majority of citizens of this country!
And can you lambast a Michel Platini,when you have people like this same Mahama Ayariga, running around promising several thousands of dollars for the hiring of an expatriate coach,when 'small allowances' for players of various national teams have not been paid?

He might have allowed Ukraine to participate in football competitions despite the security challenges in that country. But what we need to closely look at is EBOLA. This disease is more dangerous than nuclear bombs used in wars. More dangerous than the security threat in Ukraine as claimed by CAF. I totally agree with Platini on this issue. Platini's comment is never an interference but rather a vaccine again the Ebola spread.He Platini has suggested that WHO be consulted before going ahead with the competition. I think CAF has had it wrong this time by attacking Platini for his useful suggestion. AFCON is plan and organized for humans to enjoy not to spread EBOLA which kills without mercy.
