Essien played in england for chelsea not because he was english, but because he was the best person at his job at that time.
We are now in a global village and when we limit ourselves to only our people with or without the requisite qualifications and skills we are at loss.
It will be good for a ghanaian to manage the national team though, however they make the attempt to upgrade theirselves to be competive and not only to depend on the government to send them for coaching courses. There we will get people who are competent to compete..

We are a bunch of confused people when it comes to common sense usage in critical times eg. benching Essien, KPB and Muntari at 2014 World Cup crucial opener against USA; not encouraging Sellas Tetteh to senior coaching after winning the U20 World Cup in 2009, ... and now simply joining the strategic but humble Maxwell Konadu who qualified the Black Stars yesterday to Avram for Afcom 2015 also subjects itself to a debate wholly uncalled for! Personally I wish Konadu coaches the Stars before and during 2015. How I wish! He is a very very cunning, strategic and calculated football maestro. Congratulations to Konadu and to the Black Stars for beating Togo despite the injuries and all!
