He is going to settle on his own team for the AFCON. Essien, Muntary and Prince-Boateng would be back after the dust has settled. Until the GFA lifts the ban on these players, the coach cannot invite them. Akaminko and Vorsah would be active again in 2015 to beef up the defence. All things being equal, in a year or two Ghana would be back among the best football nations again.

Strikers: with the exception of jordan ayew and gyan. The rest haven't showed any form or reason to go to afcon. Where is antwi of egypt? Yiadom? Striker mensah from portugal?
Midfielders: rabiu is a benchwarmer. Atsu has simply been terrible this season. Afriyie acquah is indisciplined always attracting cautions. Duncan is simplybig for nothing, no soccer IQ. There are better midfielders than adukofi and moro(manu is better, chibsah is better.
Defenders: nkum has only played 2/3 games for dc united until he was traded a few weeks ago. Nkum hasn't played competitive soccer for over 3mths!...amartey has more experience and hasn't shown much with club to warrant afcon selection. Painstil is a veteran and in active form in South Africa and can instill a veteran advice for the defenders. Where is he? Boye is simply useless and I have no trust in his defensive abilities.

I think that the new names really have to do something really impressive to break through. Maybe Acheampong could take Wakaso's position or Edwin Gyimah takes Afful's position. I do not know this Kwesi Appiah guy but I sort of doubt he is going to make it. Maybe he has some surprises for us.

He could have tested some of these guys against the likes of Morocco and Angola without giving away any secrets. I am not so sure what they can do with this Spain camping. Probably will play Cape Verde and I ope Morocco will fly up to Spain for a friendly. Let us pray for the best. This is going to be very difficult.

It is important not to look at just the present players that we have but to always look and prepare for the future.

The defense is the same bunch of players without much focus, the midfield is without any game changer and the forward is just average with the presence of Gyan.Should anything happens to him,then the striking force will be totally lost. For the goalkeepers,maybe we should consider letting Adams be in post and keep praying for any miracle to come our way in this tournament.
