MR. APPIAH KINDLY TAKE YOUR TIME AND REMINISCE ON THE PERFORMANCE OF THE PLAYERS WHO MADE IT TO THE TOP 3 AND YOU MAY SIDE WITH CAF'S DECISION. MY ONLY SURPRISE IS THE ALGERIAN PLAYER WHO COULD NOT MAKE IT TO THE TOP 3.

WHEN HIS TIME COMES (WHICH MAY BE SOON) THERE WILL BE 'NO OPPOSITION'.
    TRUE, HIS TIME WILL COME.
GYAN may think/ worry about it because he is but human, but truly he knows that (for his age) he has already collected so many ...

Playing in that inferior league UAE because of money is not like playing in any of the European leagues. At best UAE league equates to the of Ghana. Stop the praise singing as he did not deserve to be mentioned PERIOD.

    U right bro

  • John 9 years ago

Was Gyan thinking of that prize when he decided to play in UAE?It would have been an insult to CAF to have given him that award, for now he shd just make his money.

Playing in UAE is not competitive soccer but for the money. Gyan himself knows that. How many tough players are plying in UAE? It's only Gyan. Besides, CAF have their criteria in deciding who should be there. No reasonabl ...

Come on are you serious? Did you read the article? If you can't be objective don't comment. His exploits transcended the UAE.

  • Son of man 9 years ago

Who cares what goes on there in UAE.. Competitively, they don't count. Even CAF does not pay attention to soccer in that part of the world. Gyan's choice to play in UAE was cash motivated and I wholly agree that is not compet ...

ASMOAH GYAN DOES NOT MERIT TO BE AMONG THE TOP 3 IN GHANA, AND YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT AFRICA. TELL HIM THE TUTH AND DON`T OVER RATE HIM. HE IS ONLY PROUD AND ARROGANT.

  • Kwame Sekyere 9 years ago

He certainly deserves it more than Aubameyang or Enyama or even Toure. Believe me, I don't like Asamoah Gyan because of Baby Jet theatrics, arrogance, idiotic haircut...but from a football perspective he deserves to amongst t ...

Gyan is clearly Africa's best player and has been the best since 2010. This is not even an arguable point.
Enyeama and Aubame-Eyang are straight up garbage. Toure is a classy player but is overrated by the press because of t ...

KO, I thank you. What have Enyama and Aubameyang achieved over the last 5 years? What? They're certainly not better than Gyan! Toure plays for the most heralded, yet most disappointing and overhyped national Team on the Afric ...

If you want him to win something tell him to go and play in SERIOUS LEAGUES. Not where he is now. Only then we can know his worth. Stop this kind of argument. If you gold digg up the mountain.
