Do jihadists care whether someone is a politician or not?
Haven't you seen innocent Israelis, Americans, Brits, Frenchmen, even Russians, and their own Moslem kith and kin killed by these people just because they're citizens of those countries, are Moslems who happen to be in their way or just in the wrong locations when the weapons went off?
A person's political status has nothing to do with them being targeted.
Just be a citizen of a country they hate and you're in their crosshairs.

"It is the government's responsibility for Grant's safety" quote and unquote:Towards travels to predominantly Muslim nation-states in Africa and elsewhere......
Here is one:
Considering the hoopla about Avrant Grant, may I cleave to you indulgence in crafting this million dollar question:"Is Avrant Grant worth our time, money and energy?
Well, It is quite ironic, very displeasing to the ear, compelling the body to consume such an unpalatable meal in spite of the mistakes made before, during and after the "Brazil Animguase Akwantuo" of 2014.
Truth be told, the Nyantakyi and his GFA cohorts, woefully, had refused or failed to acknowledge that they played a major role and continue to dabble in that debacle at the detriment of the government of Ghana.
For the reminders, the GFA unintelligently,OOPS! by mistake, had renewed the contract of the then coach of the GBS only to fire him on his return that would/might have taken a chunk out of the Taxpayer's money unnecessarily.
As if that was not an affront to normal office practice, these men who are known to be 'booklong' to have known better, know all the intricacies of the 'known to the unknown', have abysmally failed Ghana.
This question begs to be answered:
Why would we hire a controversial coach?
Didn't we know, and for that matter, the GFA know before hand that Avrant Grant, who hails from that troubled spot, both Far East and Near East could bring Ghana into disrepute with elements of that region?
In today's politically turbulent world,as alleged by the writer, the lone Israelite on our soil should be a paramount honour for the government of Ghana.
How is that?
How best have the government of Ghana ensured the safety of its citizen all over the world conceding that, no one is certain when Grant could become the target of a looney lunkhead......
Yep, you're right, we are not certain about how best Grant could be protected since the people we are afraid of harming him and the very many innocent bystanders by their known deeds are unpredictable. They are people who have no human values and could harm, maim and destroy without notice. The jihadist knows no bound when they strike.
While Grant is not an Israeli politician, and therefore does not help formulate Israeli's domestic or foreign initiative, some uneducated, unhinged reprobate jidahist may be unaware of this fact and hence see Grant as a target of disdain.
How could you measure the jidahists sense of loyalty to non-politicians?when in the face of these religious adversities, they kill, destroy and harm innocent people including children and women.
Know that, religion has done more harm than good.
Yep! Na so ibe"
If the GFA in its infinite academic wisdom is not thinking properly, put Ghana first and denouncing their self interest but motivated by the kickbacks, honorariums and coefficient7/did not know they have called for the piper and would eventually pay for the music then we are in for the longest haul.

With the internet everyone can write an article and get it posted everyone is acting as if Avram Grant is biggest thing ever happened to "The" Black Stars. How silverware has this Avram Grant won the last time I check he sent Portsmouth to relegation and did not win anything with Chelsea. Having said that Jewish people travel all the time around the world in the middle without having F-16 flowing them. Pryce you may have a Ph.D., and a criminologist by profession but what we need now is common sense and not fear mongering for goodness sake and crying aloud On 13 January 2012, Avram Grant was named the new manager of Partizan Belgrade and he lived among the Serbian who more racist and antisemitism than the Serbian. Grant was Technical Director for BEC Tero Sasana F.C. Thailand based team don't tell me Thailand is pure nation with no known jihadists. Give us a break and leave the man to do his work and stop the fear mongering now.

Let us hope that jihadists find Ghana a peaceful country and don't try to make a point at our expense. Ghanaians hate neither Jews nor Arabs. Christians and Muslims live peacefully in the country and the national team is made up of Christians and Muslims playing together to bring glory to the nation. We cut off diplomatic relations with Israel for a long time in support of our Arab brothers. Even when Egypt opened up relations with Israel, Ghana still kept it's Israeli embassy in Accra shut.
This is football and let's enjoy the game and judge Grant on his coaching performance. But, of course, we should always be looking over our shoulders to see to it that nothing happens to Grant and any of the Ghanaian players.
Peace to all. Shaalom! Salaam. One world, one game!

I looked at the short list and I felt he was the best man for the job. At the same time I had similar fears expressed here. He and the Black Stars really need total security protection wherever they go. Let me just add that the Arab (mainly Palestinian)-Israeli problem has nothing to do with Islam. Many Palestinians are also Christians. In any case so long as Jews, Christians and Moslems worship the One God of Abraham, we are also one Family in the eyes of that One God. I have had the opportunity to visit Jerusalem and to see how close the wholly places of Judaism, Christianity and Islam are very close to each other and that convinced me that yes we are truly One Family serving our One God in our own ways.

By appointing Coach Grant, Ghana has shown the world that we're non-aligned as we alerted the UN in the 1960s---we still stick to our beliefs, that everyone born under the Sun has all his God-given rights to live and work wherever his/her talents or services will be needed!
