I can understand your anger and frustration. Some of the contributors on this forum under-rate the prowess of Gyan as a striker. They argue, though incoherently that Asamoah Gyan was snubbed by CAF for the 2014 best footballer award because he plays in a less prestigious league. For me that's the crux of the matter. If Gyan plays in a less glamorous league with second rate footballers and he is still able to break a 24 year old World Cup goal scoring record held by Roger Miller then that makes Gyan a phenomenal goal scorer. Imagine if he played for Chelsea, Manchester City, Barcelona, Real Madrid, etc, surrounded and assisted by an array of super stars, he'd score goals at an alarming fast rate. He could even shoot through the sky to score goals on the moon.

From my point of view, it's "only" this Hayatou and his administactively "two-faces" francophone predominants" who causelessly keep restraining our turns from the sub-regional pride, perhaps Abedi(unlike poor Gyan) was so lucky to be able to rattle the French to buy their votes.Hayatou's empire, as
discriminative as remains, am also yet to know when the few Englophone members like Mr Nyantakyi would come up with something from their sleep and began agitate for a sweet better fairshares for to save the suppressed English literates. At least, if they can come with anything better like: 5 vs 5 each, or more with the same number of these snitchy,
