Please, respect Rev Osei Kofi. Osei Kofi was the footballer who set Ghanaian sportsmen an example in PATRIOTISM when he rejected a lucrative offer to play in the English Premier League in the 1960's in order to continue playing in the "beautiful Ghana" for Kotoko.
He is very relevant because Ghanaian sportsmen are advised to follow his example so as to avoid tarnishing the image of Ghana as happened in Brazil.
Ghanaians should show that money is not the end of everything; your dignity and pride are also important factors to consider.

Osei Kofi, the one man soccer synphony orchestra, the wizard dribbler, the hero of AFCON 1965, the breaker of Phobian hearts , the dare-devil soccer schemer and maker of goals must now be happy that the government has in principle honoured its promise.
Now, it behoves the wizard dribbler to go and dismantle and dissipate the curses that he had personally threatened to impose on the Black Stars. He should do these re-invocation ordeal carefully and very carefully so that it does not backfire, recoil or remain permanent.
The reverend should also make sure some money gets to the family of some of the dead Black Stars including the peerless and priceless Baba Yara ,
Edward Acquah the greatest thunderbolt goal merchant, Addo Odamettey the Rock of Gibraltar and the greatest number 5, Aggrey Fynn ( Osagyefo, Kofi Djata), and captain Emmanuel Quarshie.
In particular, Osei Kofi, Buldozer Mfum, CK Gyamfi and some of the surviving members of the fearless and fearsome Black Stars should visit the graves mof the dead Stars. There they should calm their hearts, soothe their sorrows, tame their anger and bless them and lay a wreath on the graves and sprinkle holly water on the graves and thereby incur their goodwill for the future. Gyamfi should promise Baba Yara that if the Lord of the Dead will grant his wish and set him loose just to play for the Black Stars one more time, the Ghana soccer fans will give donate all their money to fabricate for him boots of pure gold and a jersey of pure gold with the golden number 7 emblazoned at the back and he will once again mesmerize the world wih his magic.

Here again they tried to muzzle them by offering US $5,000 as bonuses, saying the could take it or leave it! Sensing danger, they've reverted to what the Kuffour gov't instituted and which brought lots of motivation within camp. They think they can always deceive people, including our National Team and its handlers. Sometime I feel very sad for Mr. Kwasi Nyantakyi and his GFA outfit. They must be going through some tough times, trying to organize our national teams when they'd have to deal with an incompetent and deceitful gov't like the NDC. What a pity!

African governments have now embarked upon supporting their teams. From Sierra Leone to Sudan to Zambia, each of the teams can win at any time, so just pray and hope for the best for the Black Stars. We might not AFCON till 20 years from now.

We may have to invoke the miracle of Elwak to surmount the task ahead.
The preparation is simply shoddy.
Besides, player by player, team by team, pound for pound, our boys, I mean, the current squad will sweat it out. And can they do it? I doubt it.
"nokor3 y3 baako p3" coaches don't win games. Players does. Even if he does, he's just been here not too long ago. He barely knows the players.
There is no such thing as help from above. Its the preparation that counts in this instance.
The ascendancy of this religious craze, the act of people believing in a providence,and or a deity, pray for me crusade in a God nobody has denied or confirm its existence is gone too much into our head we tend to shift our energies, perseverance and focus unto non-existent stuff only to find out that we are deceived and that if you do not help yourself no one else helps. We hardly get anything from what we do not sow. Hard work brother.
You hardly hear of a freign coach when interviews about the chances of his team in a tournament would claim a God be the source of his winning ways. He would rather praise his players and the preparations that's commonly associated with that successful labour. In Ghana it is always over dependency on a spirit, a God and Isha Allah.
