If the Stars are able to play as they did in the First Half against the Senegalese, we will definitely get a good result against the Algerians. Then against South Africa, we can go for broke in a DO or DIE encounter. Hope the technical team will advise the players not to take their feet off the pedal as they did against Senegal in the second half. We must also improve on our finishing as well as our counter-attack strategy with long balls for speedy attackers to relieve the pressure on the defence if we intend to defend our lead. May our Talisman bring back the goals if he returns. In football, anything can happen.

I still believe we could have beaten Portugal but for the training pitch and dressing room 'civil war' which I think unsettled the moral of the players and whatever good fortune destiny had in store for us. I am not saying we will definitely qualify as being asserted by the Committee member. But the 2 games are still to be played. I know many Ghanaians are pessimistic about our chances given what happened on Monday. But remember in the 2006 World Cup, we lost 2-0 in our first match but some- how managed to qualify from our group. And at AFCON 2010 in Angola, we lost our first match 3-1 to Cote D'Ivoire. Yet we were able to qualify and all the way to the final. Yes, we were awful in the Second Half against Senegal. But I take heart that we can perform better on the strength of our First Half performance where could have led by 2 or 3 goals. It is on this basis that I am optimistic that all is not yet lost. It's going to be tough, because both Algeria and South Africa are formidable opponents. But in football, anything can happen especially if you do your homework well. So let's wait and see. I wish the Black Stars the best of luck to overcome this Mission Impossible.

We are well capable of that as Algeria weren't that impressive against a not too good S. Africa. The players though have to decide to put in a shift for 94 minutes. It was evident in our last game that we did not work hard enough in the second half. I think we are good enough to beat Algeria and S. Africa to proceed to the next round if the boys want it bad enough.
