KONADU KNEW HOW MAHATMA IS AN EXPERT IN DEAD BALL SITUATIONS BUT HIS PREOCCUPATION IS TO ENSURE MAHATMA DOES NOT GET PLAYING TIME. IF YOU ARE TAKING OUT DJAN, THE LOGICAL REPLACEMENT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MAHATMA. How can he shut up when he has bet for his hear to be shave off when the bs loose the final. Massa this is now a ghanaian also standing in the stands and no more a player. Like the way you and I killed his career when he miss kicked to allow Italy to disgrace as back in 2006. However now he accepts the pain supporters go through .....so allow him to speak up. The truth we must have won the cup in the first 5 kick but those two guys disappointed us. Eventually ghana lost and kufour had his hair shave off. My brother it was very painful and now he appreciate the fact that we ghanaians were not happy about what he did in 2006. Thank you.

Kuffour is right. Messi, Ronaldo, Beckam and all those World super stars have missed penalties and they have not been crucified the way Gyan was. But should that make him quit taking penalties? Ghanaians need to change our attitude and check our emotions, else no player would take responsibility in the team, as the fear of failure far outweighs the prospect of a win in Ghana, when it comes to penalties. We must learn to be sportsmen and accept that penalties can favour anyone, not just Ghana. All we need to do is to consistently arrive at the finals of finals in the tournaments, we may lose some of these finals, but we surely would win some.We would however be in a classs of our own.

You got it wrong Mr. Kuffour and I think it is highly unfortunate for someone of your caliber to make such untidy comments. The same persons accusing Gyan would have been the ones to hang him again if he had missed a penalty. Are you saying when Gyan does not play there is no leader and we should therefore lose our games? I am sorry but that is not accurate. When you are aware of your in-competencies, you diligently work to mitigate their impact and that is what Gyan did. Do not hold him responsible for what we should have done in 120 minutes. I rest my case

Kuffuor please quit that bull yes our Gyan is one of our finest but just go back to what happened to this patriot when he missed the famous penalty at the wc.This goes to tell how ungrateful and short minded Ghanaians can be.Check the records even Maradona missed a penalty kick at the wc but not much fuss was made about it but in Ghana we think every penalty must hit the target.I have said it just as Azumah always said you go for a KO in boxing or once it gets into the hands of the referee to decide the winner anything can happen.Same with soccer you either try to win in regular time to avoid penalty kicks to decide because just as I have always said when it comes to PK nobody can be said to be an expert the person you know never misses can miss on any given because nothing is guaranteed in pk.From statistics most times the best team loses in pk.in this case Ghana was the better team but look what happened. It is a matter of a leader please quit that bull because there is nothing logic about this one.If talk about a leader during regular play it's a big yes but not pk.
