Going foward, AFCON needs to be a tournament where the group stages are hosted in four different countries. the four top seeds host their group. After that, one country can host the knock out rounds. No country in Africa, other than South Africa, can really manage a tournament where more than two stadiums are needed. Hotels, internal transportation, communication are issues in all 54 countries. We cannot blindly follow Western models. Let us get realistic about what each country can handle.

I have never seen a government like this present NDC regime, that has not got Ghanaians' priorities right. They put soccer above the economy. How much money would an AFCON bring to Ghana? Think of the shame, ridicule and suffering Ghanaians are

At least into the finals again and this time, like it happened in Libya 82, the cup will be coming home from the north. If we host it, the determination wouldn't be that high as we playing from home. Let us recall the number of players we had during the 2008 Afcon, when we hosted it. So many good players were had but couldn't over the Indomitable lions to even get through the semifinals. We had good players but the hunger for the cup wasn't there. Since 1978 Africa Cup of Nation, we do better when others are hosting it. This is our time, therefore allow the northern country, who are not classified as one of the best in the continent, to host it. In this way, the winning wouldn't be labeled as "Host to Win".
