  Granted, she is young and probably is not ready to leave home, but given the exprience she already has, I doubt that some American family (of Ghanaian origin or other) could not have nurtured her while enjoying the scholarship.
  
  It does not make sense to me that this young lady would turn down a scholarship. Does she have something else lined up that we do not know about?

As I understand her have a manager now is interpreted that she is now a professional athlete. This means she will be ineligible for any scholarship which is given to amateurs. Somebody please help this girl as she is likely being exploited.

I can smell something very fishy about the whole controversy on this young lady. Someone is not telling the truth and usually in Ghana, it's always the first and second second people to tell their stories that are always liars. Such a woman can easily turn her back on her trainer for vain promises from the likes of Osei Berko. For the likes of osei Tawiah who have nothing to offer, they wish everyone becomes good for nothing like them. I think what Osei tawiah smells is probably the odor from his mouth and if he says it's fishy then hell.... I pray for this talent.

Let me tell you this, your professor Dodoo or whatever he calls himself is a thief. Not only Bissah's mother has accused him of trying to defraud her daughter but also another athlete insulted him and quit the Olympic Team for the same reason. This guy was a Ghanaian Judoka or wrestler who lives outside Ghana, probably in London or the U.S.A. if I am not mistaken, and I can remember very well this was during the Commonwealth Games in India or some other international competition. I believe this is why the family is running away from these crooks. Success is ordained by God and not your so called Prof Dodoo so praying for my downfall just for defending this poor girl will amount to nothing and I am 100% sure she will succeed if she puts her trust in herself and the almighty. You and your fucking crooks like Prof Dodoo can go to hell.

  Per a report sourced to citifmonline.com and reported on Ghanaweb 5 Mar 15, Ms. Martha Bissah is bewildered. The way the young athlete explains it, Professor Francis Dodoo, the Ghana Athletic Association (GAA) chief simply asked her if she wanted to go to the US to further her education. The wise young lady, surprised by the talk, replied she would have to think about that because "it was a bit too soon." That was in 2014. The young athlete has since not heard from the GAA. Seems to us , Professor Francis Dodoo and the GAA should have followed the talk with a formal letter to Ms. Bissah and her parents, as part of conducting the business of the GAA, something they have neglected to do.
  
  OUR FINAL COMMENT: Hope the GAA will act at the responsible party and ensure the young girl and her parent are the parties to any agreement.

A lot of my African American friends in Ghana have always complained about how sneaky and slippery Ghanaians can be when it comes to extorting money from unsuspected victims.
