Respect yourself because they DO enforce the law, and you will be had if you behave as if you're in your village back home.

Do not make any changes to anyone's home or other property without WRITTEN consent, no matter how minor you think the change is.

When you earn, make sure enough is taken out for your taxes, or save a huge chunk for the taxman at year-end.

If you don't, your finances will be run aground by those with power over you: your employers, your landlords, the Government. Your abrokyire dream will be a nightmare, even if you're lucky to escape jail.

Respect the laws and you'll be alright.

From what I've been told the Inkoom's were supposed to have renters insurance and were told to get it to comply with the lease terms. They never got renters insurance.

When I was going to school in Ghana in the 1950s and the '60s, my classmates and I used to learn English by reading newspapers like "The Daily Graphic", "the Ghanaian Times", "The Sunday Mirror" "The Accra Evening News", and the like, in addition to what we were being taught at school. These days when I read articles posted by social media, as you've done here, I feel sorry for our younger students who may be attempting to learn the English language from you. In order not to mislead or confuse those students who may wish to learn from you, please seek help from those who are better than you at English before posting your articles.

By the way, instead of writing, "He goes on to further say", you may simply write, "He further said ..." or "He added that ...". And please don’t forget also your past tense. The two examples I’ve given here may also apply to the other awkward favourite expression of yours, "He continued that ...".
