  a lot has been going on for a long time now. if the foreign-based players are confident enough, they will come.
  odartey, issaka, prince amoako, ofoli quaye, laryea kingson, helegbe, rahim, baffoe djan all returned but fizzled out less than a year.
  the standard of the local league has improved more than they left it and with age not on their side, it will take some determination for them to match up for a year.
  i have contended that if for instance stephen appiah had returned to hearts in the year 2000, he would have struggled to cope with the play of copson, joe ansah, charles allotey, adjah tetteh, awuley quaye junior.
