jacon nettey had forgotten that he was in africa 1996, 1997, 1998 & 1999 as a central defender with some very appauling defending with the likes of justice ampah, sanni wahab, etc but noone deburred them from participating. every subsequent year there was hope they will perform. it took the grit & maturity of agyemang duah and the intelligence of stephen tetteh in central defence, mireku's efficiency as rightful back and you jacob neetey shifted from central defence to left back for hearts to win the cup.

Why can't this former Captain of the club encourage this boys to at least play their hearts out to gain some experience and confidence in Africa for future opportunity. You don't suppress and discourage a team you have captained before after proving you wrong on your initial stand and negative statement about the team embarking on African campaign.

2. Play with aggression and be disciplined with your 2/3 touches and counter attack or all attacking strategy
3. Play all attacking, 442 zone on the road and play counter attack 442 at home
4. If you do this with discipline, play aggressive and show nonrespect to Esperance. Hearts will beat them. Remember that esperance players have reached the beginning of their decline. Every team.goes thru growth stages. Esperance must start rebuilding and don't be surprised to see them buy some hearts players.

Hearts have already proved that they have the tenacity and steel to go far and this is not the time to lose hope. If they could beat Djoliba, they can beat Esperance.

Hearts should watch out. Esperance will play it very fast in the first 15 minutes of each half. If Hearts are able to withstand the raids during these periods they will surely qualify.

Jacob Nettey, God bless you for your objectivity. I am also a strong hearts supporter, but with our current form, I find it difficult to understand how we can overcome Esperance. Unfortunately people are just not being objective. Once we accept this fact, then the technical guys then would put in place proper and objective strategies. However, if we begin to condemn the truth, then we are in big trouble. The truth is that Hearts of Oak are a pale shadow of themselves and need to improve seriously for competition such as Africa.
