Bhono, the situation between Andea and Marseille is not the other party's fault. They came out with a compromising terms but both terms were not in favor of the other. Therefore they had to part ways. Andrea's demand was higher than Marseille's offer. Andrea is demanding a price tantamount to what players in his status, in terms of his position as a deputy captain in the team, his contributions toward the club, his level of improvements each year, his age, 25yrs, which in football is classified as the peak, etc, would be offered by a loyal club. On the other hand, at the moment, Marseille too is going through financial worries since they haven't been doing that great. To me, he is right on spot to ask for it because players in his standard from the European countries and the South American countries are being awarded with even much higher price tags on their heads and clubs like Marseille are bidding on them; though, they claim they are in financial difficulties. It is just not fair so I think it is good for Andrea to leave. How forceful he is, I don't think a club with equal mind will bench him, even not Barca with all their extraordinary talented players. Andrea can play as a defensive midfielder, an offensive midfielder pairing with the a defensive midfielder, he can also play as a right winger, a left winger, a play maker behind a striker, an as well play as a striker. Therefore, why should he settled for less? Yes, Marseille has been his childhood club but the willing to treat him fairly is lacking.

Current football administrators are only interested in selling talented players to European, North African and Asian clubs. Ghana has become a nursery. When Kwame Nkrumah brought Real Madrid (then European champions) to Ghana, they struggled to draw 1-1 with Ghana national team. Those days our players were motivated to be proud of Ghana.
