Promises of payment would be just that. Hopefully, your agent has an iron clad contract with conditions for payment for your services and transfer of your hard earned money clearly defined. Remember the offer of the gift of Trojan Horse the Greeks made to the Trojans? Anyway while in Greece, please read the Homeric epics, the great Greek dramatists (Aeschylus, Sophocles and Euripides), etc, and the Greeks would love you for your excellent soccer play and for loving their culture and literature.
