I support the Govt in this no quota stand. The Local players are not good enough for big stage. They need gradual exposure and training by competent coaches not some kokoase coaches. Ghana has one of the weakest leagues in the world and you the players in Black Star? No way .

Now tell us how are you going to make the local league attractive and competitive? This is an inwarding decision that had been taken by President who had benefited system. The President and his brothers and sisters from the north would not have being where they have if Ghana did not have a quote system where Northerners were given a free education. The only reason why everyone is leaving now is that he or she knows he stand a better chance for being called into the Black Stars if he or she plays his or her trade outside Ghana. Can we have the same for Ghanaians living outside Ghana who want a GFA position?

Well sadly our best players play abroad. The domestic lead is nothing to write home about. It is beyond useless. These days the players are concentrated in the football academies. These players leave the country at a young age and are exposed and trained in Europe. Look at our younger generation of players on the team now...not many of them were former players of teams like hearts, kotoko, Olympics, goldfields etc. very soon non would come from these teams because the academies are producing the best players and selling them to Europe at tender age. So it would be foolish to give local based players a "pity pass" to the team when their talent is beyond mediocre. National team should be played based on merit not on some sorry quota as a means to compensate those that are not good enough. Instead of implementing a quota, the gfa must find a way to improve the quality of the league to encourage the best players to stay. But as we know the gfa is useless.

Give 5 slots to local players. Gfa already collecting bribes in foreign cash to field foreign based players. Many are called and never even play. So with the quota system. We will have local players who can count on their bstar call ups and use that as a confidence booster. Secondly, without the quota system. No local player will.ever get the chance to play for bstar. Not becos they ain't good becos they do that have the monies to pay bribe. Even brasil has quotas for local players

Every ery national team with ale number of local players infused together with the foreign based players. Have managed to do well on global and continental stage. Everything ghana assembles a bunch of mostly foreign based players. Nothing good come out of it. A quota is needed to prevent these greedy officials from parading a bunch of foreign based players for our national teams. The facts alone will tell you that this precedent won't help Ghana

The quota system would have been reduced to an avenue for bribery and corruption. The best local player will never be selected!
