  So what really does the GFA do? What does Kwesi Nyantakyi do. Why was GFA yearning to host next AFCON with such village type pitches. Why did CAF/FIFA allow Accra to host the qualifiers? Disgraceful

  Everything in Ghana is government, government, government. That is not how a nation functions. Why do we have state institutions? Improving the pitch at the Accra stadium and other such facilities is not the responsibility of GOVERNMENT, i.e. the Executive! It's the responsibility of the care-taker institution, in this case the more or less autonomous GFA. The fees they collect for matches, the international bonuses etc... how much would it cost to recondition the pitch at the Accra stadium? Even if there were no horticulturists or gardeners in Ghana, how much would it cost to bring such experts from Europe or elsewhere to come and fix the pitch? This is a clear case of institutional failure, and should not be blamed on government / president -- whether Mahama, Kuffour or Rawlings. Nyantakyi (is it?), what are you doing?! The pitch is a shame especially given Ghana's football stature.
