Andre Dede Ayew could make his debut in the English Premier League away to Jose Mourinho's Chelsea.

That is if the 25-year-old is selected by his new manager, Garry Monk; for the club's first game against the current champions on the weekend of 8-9 August 2015 at Stamford Bridge.

Dede Ayew, who is son of Ghana's football maestro, Abedi Ayew Pele; signed on a free transfer for Swansea City after his contract at French side, Olympique Marseille expired. He signed for the mid-table English side, even when he was being pursued by other top European sides.

The Swansea deal is supposedly worth over £60,000-a-week over the term of his four-year contract. Other associated fees and payments, including agents, are also thought to be around £2million.

Dede revealed his motivation to join the Swans in an interview with the club's website; “the project that the club has for the future is very exciting, and when I spoke to the chairman and manager I felt this was the right place for me. I felt that my desire to play in the Premier League and wanting to grow as a player meant that Swansea was the best solution for me in every way.

“Football is all about growing up and becoming a better player and a better person. “This is the next chapter. I’ve played in the Champions League etcetera, but now I want to make it in the Premier League," he added.

Ayew, a product of Marseille youth academy made 181 appearances for the French side, scoring 52 goals, lifting two French League Cups along with featuring in the club’s Champions League campaigns. He is a deputy skipper of the Black Stars and has 62-international caps.
