Ghanaians should hasten very cautiously about Baba Rahman joining Chelsea. The history of Chelsea signing young players who have portentials of developing better elsewhere, whose career ended up being destroyed is so pronounced. The case of Senegalese Demba Ba, Lukaku etc. whose signings were greeted with funfare but ended up being loaned out is there to learn from. Chelsea has more than 35 players on loan spread over Europe thus it doesn't bother them if same is done to whoever because, trading in players is also what Chelsea engages in to balance their huge annual financial deficits. Demba Ba esp. should have remained with Newcastle to save his career and now, he's in China.

Look at how many midfielders Chelsea has, were you expecting Atsu to break into the first team just like that? Was Atsu one of the best midfielders in Portugal when he was at Porto? Unlike Atsu's situation, Baba Rama, was picked as one of the best defenders who was capable of playing against the likes of Frank Robbery, Arjan Robben and the rest.
