The closest thing to a decent university in that part of Texas is Texas Tech University in Lubbock. There's absolutely no need to embellish anything beyond the fact that this young lady has an opportunity to better herself.

I was taken aback when I heard Martha on Joy Prime News saying she was to pay Ghc7000 before being given the scholarship. I am sure all those given the "scholarship" paid bribes before being allowed to travel. What a nation!

According to NCAA/NAIA and other governing bodies that control competition and recruitment of collegiate athletes, GAA can absolutely NOT fund marthas travels in any way. that money was for her ticket and GAA cannot pay for it or else she will not be eligible to recieve the scholarship. If you ask athletes that are already in the states each one will tell you they were told the exact same thing. They either had the money or borrowed. Anybody who actually knows the process will know this. and for her to act like GAA is just asking for amounts of money is complete ludicrous.
