  The point is that, it is Berekum Chelsea that shoud have a case against Kotoko and not Hearts since their next match after Obed Owusu accumulated 3 yellow cards was against that team and since Berekum Chelsea beat Kotoko 3-0, there was no need for them to file that case.
  
  The gfa rule 39 (5) stipulates that if Berekum Chelsea did not file against Kotoko because they won their game against them, Hearts cannot step in and file against Kotoko as Obed Owusu technically has served his one game suspension.

  Football Legends like C.K Gyamfi, Asebi Boakye, Edward Acquah, Jones Attuquayefio etc, lived a life of penury during their twilight years, while 'greedy bastards' like this Nyantakyi fellow, has been allowed to build a financial fortune on the backs ordinary Ghanaians.
  Kotoko, through Opoku Nti, threw their support behind Nyantakyi, at the recent farcical FA Congress held at Tamale, and deserve the treatment that has now been meted out to them!
  Nana should now get rid of all these incompetent administrators managing His FC, in order to give the team a new beginning.

  If the accumulated cards before playing Chelsea is 3, then after playing Chelsea if he gets another card in the next match, the count is 1 not 4 because he served the 1 match by playing Chelsea.
  Hearts has no case at all.

I think this article is interesting but does not offer Kotoko any legal basis for an appeal. Kotoko needs to fire whoever advised them that the elite would count. The writer admits that an offense was committed, and whether it's Chelsea or hearts that benefited/ filed the complaint, Kotoko will still end up in the same position...maybe 14th rather 15th with one point above Hearts. I think what the writer needs to ask is what's the statute of limitation on fielding an offending player?

  Hearts is a beneficiary because the other clubs did not file for a protest and a.club has only 72 hours to.file.After the time for filing has elapsed you can't file anymore.
  Now until the player in question serves the suspension he is always regarded as unqualified
  So now that the club has been punished for fielding an unqualified player after hearts protested the suspension is over and no other club can file for a protest against Obed Owusu and Kotoko. That is the rule and its the same with CAF and FIFA.
  The only contention over here is to do with the Elite Cup.
  Kotoko must learn the rules there was a particular season when this same Kotoko fielded an unqualified player for 8 games they were only lucky no body protested.
  I am in this current case Hearts will not have protested if they were in a good position.
  Its unfortunate but anybody in the shoes of Hearts would have the same.

  Well, opinions are like noses, everyone has one. The rules are very clear, when a team features unqualified player in a match it looses 6 points and 3 goals. Technically, all the matches Obed Owusu played can be contested and won. The anus of the argument is that each match Obed played after acquiring the 3 yellow card were illegal so all the teams can take Kotoko on whether they won or lost is not the question.   Kotoko have themselves to blame by continuously fielding the unqualified player Obed Owusu in several matches thinking they can run away with the offence but no. You just have to stop mentioning Brekum Chelsea, Ashgold and other matches because that's not helping and it's an accumulation of offences. The league allowed a team to sign up 23 players. I think you have to make rulings available for every player to read in your dressing room before making your selection for every game because other teams keeps track of record and and Almighty GFA have the original copy of all the bookings of what happened on the field.

  If you look at the information from the GFA when they introduced the Elite Cup, it was essentially an official competition. Unfortunately, the GFA has just in the last few days removed the Elite Cup from their website. However, one can research by "google search". Kwesi Nyantakyi himself declared it as one of the official competitions.
  The more I research this, the more convinced I am becoming that the ruling will be overturned by the Appeals Committee.
