1 & 2 is subjective : the very reason why Coaches may chose different players for different games.
I am only pointing the contradiction in your analysis . My humble opinion .
It is the job of the coach to fashion out a system and fit in the players. The boy is strong and should be played at left back. Modern football is tactical and skill is just an added impetus.
