SUNKWA, potential investors do care earnestly about enabling environment before they make investment decisions. They want to know for example, the legal sector and how robust it is; so they can be sure they have legal protection for their interests in case they are defrauded; they want to know if there is continuous power supply to sustain their business; they want to know if transportation network is up to speed so workers can have easy access to work and also how effective can their products be conveyed from the factories to the harbours or airports; investors will want to know the standard of medical care in the country so employees taken ill can be treated quickly and return to work. All these and much more are important to potential investors when making investment decisions.

Jesus reply to his disciples was very simple. The owner of the farm did not tell his servants to relinquish the farm and cultivate a new one, neither did he tell them to go ahead to uproot the bad weeds from the soil. He however cautioned that this requires experts (Harvesters) to uproot the bad weeds from the good crop to avoid loss.

What can we compare this reckless Danquah Busia Dombo generation? It will be well for them if they change their mindset and live a life of truth else it will be better for Sodom and Gomorrah than for them to push their ill will on the people. They have never in their lives said the truth nor demonstrated maturity. They always portray silliness, low self esteemed and endemic mental slavery. What is so worrying is that they don’t mind destroying others because they want power. Attacking and distracting leaders without sound alternative is not only sickening but also portrays gross immaturity and emptiness.

Sir, you are absolutely right that Ghana needs solutions to her problems. Fortunately for Ghana there are people who can help by providing and sharing their valuable skills, knowledge and experiences to empower the people and those who are the key leaders in our communities, economic and social arenas but instead, these people who, we rely on and trust to have the interest of Ghana at heart rather tend to play political games with our lives and total disrespect and disregard to citizens. They would do everything anything illegally or morally with impunity for their egotistical ends. Lies, fabrications of stories, indiscipline, lack of trust, dishonesty, irresponsibility, lack of integrity, violence, disrespect for law and order etc are sadly, the qualities of these so called leaders and I can tell you that I have closely observed Bawumia from his days in office at the Bank of Ghana into his political leadership of NPP especially, during the famous 'Atuguba ' hearing and I found him an untrustworthy, someone who would try to be' economical with the truth' to suit his political aim and agenda. Let me tell you that modern Economics is not just the Supply and Demand Theories or the Elasticity of Demand or Supply. It is no more just to do with M1, M4, Monetary or Physical policies, inflation, Balance of Payments, Speculation or Population etc. What you have to know is that Technology and particularly, Political decisions and Global Community now have greater influences on the economics of the world than just the basic theories that Dr Bawumia seems to be propounding. Dr Bawumai's little understanding of morden economics would send Ghana into the cave ages!! Bawumia needs to come up with constructive non-partisan social and economic proposals alternative to others and parties. It is sad that he has not been able to help Nana and NPP to come up with practical and intelligent social and economic policies that are suitable to Ghana's needs to shame NDC and other parties in Ghana than this old 6th Form economics stuff!! Bawumia and others are just 'eating the left overs of NDC' i.e they weight for NDC to come up with a social or economic statement and they just unintelligently jump to criticising NDC government policies statements without offering any tangible answers or alternative!!. So how could you say that Bawumia is a good economist. Don't forget to realise that the so called economic experts, Keynes, Galbreith, Freidman, Adam Smith etc were more often than not dangers to society because they always get it wrong and never own up. Instead they cleverly try to prove that they were/are right. Don't be fooled Big Daddy in believing that Bawumia has brought out solutions or there is a 'good economist' Tell me the records of Bawumia as Deputy Governor? There is no doubt that the closest thing we can get as an economist - in the true sense of the word in this country, is Dr Bawumia.

However the difficulty I have with Bawumia is that he associates with a political party that panders to the whims of global imperialism. That posture alone reduces all his savvy to zilch - zero. Not only that, but he also appears to be totally ignorant about the historically destructive forces of the economics of global imperialism which keeps on dribbling under-developed former slave colony nations from their efforts at attaining any measure of meaningful development for their people.

Looking at Bawumia in the attached photo, smugly sitting amongst a group of imperialist/capitalist sharks assembled by the FT - an acknowledged propaganda sheet of western imperialism makes me 'smile' with sorrow.

There are economic and financial houses that have been around for decades being successful even with numerous management changes over the course of their existence and it is not by coincidence or luck.

What did Dr. Bawumia and others bring to bear when they run the government that would have sustained Ghana with or without their being at the helm? Nothing but empty rhetoric; go sit on it Dr. Bawumia. Ghana's oil came under Kufour and it was Kufour administration that gave the EO group their outrageous finder’s fee that defies any common sense even amongst apes. If the Kufour team were any smarter would they not have drawn up plans for the use of Ghana oil revenues and enshrined them is some legislative instrument even if they could not make it a constitutional amendment? Why don’t the mighty Bawumia, god of Ghana's economics, show us his own investment portfolio or better yet show us how NPP investments have fared with his advice and consent?

Industries and businesses do not produce products and store. They need good roads and clear distribution channels to distribute their goods. I think that is what the current government is laying down as a base to sustain the private sector. He talks with "blind eyes".

Anybody can borrow to build roads and hospitals but what is needed is sound economic policies to complement the building of roads and encourage the private sector and boost investment. Your thinking is in line with the mediocrity of this government. If you have good roads but no electricity who will come and invest in your economy? If you have good roads and you cannot stabilise your currency how will the local businesses survive? No wonder they say little education and knowledge is dangerous. Your comment confirms that.

Yes, many wise Ghanaians ought to be disappointed of the foolishness and hatred that the educated buffon Bawumia exhibited before many tribal and political bigots from Ghana who applauded him of his stupid village comments of undermining our nation indirectly whether knowingly or unknowingly..

Unfortunately he was not invited purposely for a comment on the Ghanaian govt in power economy and that he has to lambast the govt of the NDC that he hated so much.

It is in this regard that I called him educated buffon because his comment centered on the handling of the nation's economy. Again he is an educated buffon because even though he was aware of the govt's efforts, and also aware of the prices of the oil presently as against that that was used to present the budget of the past yet he talked like a village man who had no knowledge of the happenings in the international oil market .

Also he showed inferiority complex to the Ashantis within the NPP despite what he claimed he had acquired in the area of economic studies by criticing the govt policy in handling the power problem even though his position might had given him awareness of the good efforts of the NDC in building the Atuabo Gas plant, the importation of the power barges from Turkey to supplement the power shortages temporarily.

And above all, the good efforts of the Govt in laying down plans to help strategise a national policy that can help our nation to solve the power problem once and for all. All these efforts and others that some of us know about make us to question of his position in line with his comments.

The point that disgraced Bawumia in totality is the point he raised about the issues of taxes in reference to foreign investors. He never convinced some of us who thought he could accept the areas that the NDC govts had done well and give them credit where it is due as well as pinpointing their shotr comings in relation to their general national policy.

Bawumia should avoid being bias in his presentations simply because he stands for NPP. Such a move in politics expose the foolishness of a person like him to the public as an educated buffon.
