This ridiculous excuse that one hasn't enough ties so the person will not return is foolishness.What do we term as ties?Children,properties,wives,family members,cattle,goats ,sheep etc.Can they please define exactly what they want so that a person will know even before he spends his hard earned money on applying for a visa.Because it's not fair for one to spend so much money,fill a form which has no requirement or specifications as what they want from you as far as ties are concerned.Then after they ve taken your money which is nonrefundable they look into your eyes and tell you ve no tie.

They just don't come out of the blue and deny visas. They have learnt from other Ghanaians who were given visas previously and did not return after visits! Ghanaians reap what was sown from the past!!

If the said boxer is a bona fide Ghanaian and has lived all his life here in Ghana, what is this nonsense about he has no social ties in his own country?

Seeing the bad conduct of the US all over the world today, it would not surprise anybody that the embassy is deliberately refusing the visa only so that our boxer misses the fight to give his US opponent the advantage. Even if he is belatedly given the visa, our boxer would by now be so demoralized that even if the fight does take place, he may very well lose.

Why does the US always have to do things in such a way as to conflict with common-sense and make their country unpopular? Why?

Why, in spite of having had the benefit of using African slaves to do all the dirty and hard work in the development of the US, have they built an iron-curtain around their country and make it so difficult for Africans in particular to travel to that country?

Mr 'Uncle Tom', can you answer this question too for them?

They use the fighter as a front to escape the poor economy Mahama has created. Having said that the embassy is known for some poor judgements and decisions, including not looking at one,s documents to find out if they legit or not and forfeit the money you paid. That is wrong and a theft at that. I wish they would do a thorough job of interviewing without just throwing you out and stealing your money.
