I liked Essience but not how he treated his dad. I was seriously abused by my dad and step mum but still I go by The bible saying you must honor your parents and it shall be well with you

What do you know about his family apart media sensationalizations. The man did enough for father if you care to know. He built a house for him, bought a car and remitted regularly through his senior sister and paid for his health care. What again does can a man do for a father who cause his family/ mother so much pain.
Essien what he thought was deem right and not more. The mother suffered for him and deserved it all. You can reap where you have not sown.Hard work pays. My father is being well taken care of by all his children with gladness because his did his best for us even though he was not rich but a civil servant. We new he struggledbut not abandon us, for this reason we ensure he is happy till the lord calls him. He is not demanding, he doesn't even ask for anything but we just give him and it's joy for all... let Essien be judge but God the created and focus on your own family and what you can do for them. Essien'a injuries was due to his combustive style of play. Not too many world class players of his caliber and style lasted longer.
We appreciate his contributions to Ghana football.
