Criticism should always make you a better person but that only happens when you listen to those critics, correct what's the truth, without allowing it have any negative impact on you and move on. I bet apart from presidents Rawlings and John Mahama, you've been criticized more than any living Ghanaian today. You're indeed a thick skinned person.

Are u better now than when you foolishly & hurriedly broke our hearts in South Africa? I don't think so. Your performance since then is downward while financially the trend is upward. You have dipped far below what you were. This has been the result of an interplay of several factors: The untimely passing away of your mum, the penalties (taking a six month self imposed exile), the loss of your dear friend Castro & the surrounding controversy, the Kwabla issue, the Brazil debacle which exposed your lack of any leadership qualities. There might be others that have not come into the open. THESE ARE THE REASONS FOR THE DIP IN YOUR PERFORMANCE. The people surrounding you should be addressing some of these issues & providing the necessary psychological support (professionally) rather than always singing your praises. They are hurting you slowly & at the same time milking you like a bug. Be wise & differentiate good friends from sycophants.

Sadly because of his riches, people are scared to point it out to him. His professed friends are doing s lot of harm to him.

As for the penalty he missed at the world cup, it was a disappointment to the entire African continent. We all saw Stephen Appiah pick up the ball but a Samoa quickly collected it. He did not compose himself because he feared Appiah may change his mind and insist on taking g the kick. But I agree that those criticisms have made him a better player.
