Who doesn't want his son to be a king? But when there are other better suitors just admit. There are other better African players to win it apart from Yaya Toure. Even Southampton Kane is outstanding who have been touted to join Man United.

Don't feel down, Mr. Commey.
Some Ghanaians, like you, think every winner of everything should be Ghanaian, but realism does not pan out that way. You and the others are driven by emotion.

The rest of us can THINK, ANALYSE and SEPARATE REALISM FROM SENTIMENT.

The truth is that Dede:

1. did NOT win Afcon 2015, Toure did.

2. sizzled during the opening games of EPL, but has since fizzled.
No matter how hard he tries, his team has barely kept its head above the relegation mark and murk, whereas Toure's team is in 3rd place, versus Dede's in 17th place.

3. is NOT Francophone, as the CAF bias has favored Francophones in the last 15 years.

I don't think he will get it, but if he does, we'll all be happy, but I will still wonder if Toure was not cheated, just as I felt in 2008 that Aboutrika (Arabic) was cheated in favour of Adebayor (Francophone).

But my overall prediction is similar to yours, and that is, you and I do not think he deserves it, let alone win it.

He also won awards in Marseille, France before going to EPL where he won EPL player of the month of August.
