Unfortunately, many athletes (sportspeople) die this way (suddenly while playing) every year.

His death has not been diagnosed yet, but it's very likely similar to the passing of Marc-Vivien Foé's in 2003.

I was in accra in January of last year to about midmay.. I was born n bred along the shores of accra in a small ghetto in da capital called cowlane . Most if not all the male youth will practice soccer and running on the Mensah guinea beach..one Sunday whilst I was there watching the youth doing their training on the beach at Akuma village there was an immediate crowd around one of the participants who had suddenly fell to the ground and was struggling to breath..immediately his colleagues realising the chap wasn't responding carried him to his car which was about an eighth of a kilometer from where the cardiac arrest started..to save you from a long reading,I found out moments later that he had died..a young energetic youth in his prime playing an active sports of soccer drops down and next thing is he dies..not that healthy people don't die but I was thinking if anybody on that beach that morning had a little knowledge of CPR I said to myself that kid wud be around today I'm sure...so back to the man dies at soccer game...all hassan wud probably be around if someone had performed CPR on the chap...it is unfortunate that people will die of a preventable death just cos of lack of knowledge...a quick example...in the west today if you randomly select 100 people from any crowd at least 10 to 20 people in the selected 100 will have knowledge of first aid and CPR. In Ghana you can have a gathering of 100 thousand people and if one of them is going through a cardiac arrest the rest of the crowd will stand and watch your life slip out of your body...so the question is when is ghana gonna adopt a first respondent policy and train ordinary citizens with basic first aid and CPR ...we will save lives if we do that...it is a common occurrence this days...first aid and CPR saves lives people....so all hassan rip but you won't die in vain..though I may not know you I have seen another kid in Ghana die the same way and I believe if the government introduces a course in first aid and CPR, and make it mandatory for those in high risk professions, we can start saving lives today.
...so herein lies part of the solution to this kinda problems...usually the victim dies becos all the airways are plugged up and the victims basically suffocate or die of oxygen starvation. Open the airways of cardiac arrest victim and perform a quick CPR. You wud resuscitate the victim whiles another person rushes to call the ambulance...you don't have to have a doctors badge or licence here in canada to giv first aid and perform CPR as a first respondent before help comes..so 1st aid training and CPR will giv our youth a second chance..I hope the government will consider training ordinary Ghanaians in First Aid and CPR. Once more RIP All hassan.

Check the records and see the high numbers of people from north who live and work in asahnti region, even the manhyia palace the heart and soul of the ashanti kingdom is completely surrounded by northeners. Ejura is in ashanti region but are dominated by northen settlers not to talk of other communities as well. Go to kumasi itself and anloga is there for voltarians and ewe's in particular and yet they are seen and taged as wicked people. Ask yourself how many ashanti's will you find in any of these regions from the three northen regions and volta region.
I Schooled in Tamale and sometimes without procation the behavoir of some natives makes you feel bad and yet we lived together peacefully. Those few cases doesn't mean that all Dagomba's and northners in general are bad.
The fact that the person has a moslem name doesn't makes a northener. My late uncle and his his late uncle who is my grandfather were moslems and had moslems names but were ashanti's. How then do you conclude that a person with a moslem name automaticaly is a northener.
The demons in you will cause your downfall, you have failed woefully.
