Please give this guy a break for we have exercise every avenue to win the cup but to no anvil. We even hosted it but it was disaster. If all will recall the moment the last AFCON which was co-hosted by Gabon and equitorial Guinea which was won by Zambia came to an end,the FA president Nyantakyi said it will take something devine devine for Ghana to win the nations cup.Ever since that time I have wonderred why and my answer came in the last AFCON which was won by Ivory Coast.Indeed we will need God's help to win a cup. We even awarded our players more cash and gifts than the winner.Funny nation.

God is already intervening for us.
He has already blessed us, and will continue to bless us. The problem is our own making. We have stopped helping ourselves, -- "Heaven helps those who help themselves."
As a nation, the one way of helping ourselves is to have a humble, honest, and intelligent leadership. This implicates the leadership of the Ghana Black Stars.
We have become the enemies of our own selves. The recent failures of our national team is a symptom of what is ailing our country,-- misplaced self-projection.
Questions: What's the wisdom in banishing the veteran-players of our national team, and then proceeding to bring in an expensive foreign coach?
What's his job description, -- to build a new team, or to win a championship?
He is laughing at us, -- with tongue in cheek. He has taken advantage of the stupidity of those who hired him to set his own agenda: roam the globe in search of misfits to replace the veterans under banishment; and disregard the talents in the local league.
With this approach, the Ghana Black Stars will not win even the championship of the Ghana Premiere League,-- if God sends eleven Holy Angels to play for us.
No nation goes to battle, and leaves her generals at home because of insubordination. Is the misconduct of the soldiers worse than a foreign army taking over our nation? This is laughable.
Any Ghanaian who truly knows the history of the Ghana Black Stars would acknowledge that player-insubordination to leadership had always been part of the Ghana Black Stars. One example comes to mind: Amadu Akuse once insulted the Director of Sports Dr. Ohene Djan, in his face, -- that his nose was as big as a brick oven. It was just because Dr. Ohene Djan had switched his seat on the plane. Although the story was all over the news media, nobody punished Amadu Akuse. Dr. Ohene Djan considered the need for the Black Stars to succeed more important than his personal ego. He was no ordinary Director of Sports. He had the ears of our first president Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah; and could therefore banish any player with the snap of his finger-tip. But he knew how to keep things in perspective. No wonder the Black Stars reached many heights under his leadership.
I don't encourage insubordination, and I'm not a pacifist. But I believe in a leader who knows how to keep things in perspective. This is what is missing from the leadership style of the handlers of our national team.
Mr. Grant must use the leverage of player-selection to bring back the veteran players. And then start plugging any possible holes that may develop, -- with new call-ups. In this way he would be building on the existing team, and thereby ensure our dominance.
It's insane to keep just Baby Jet, and Dede; surround them with entirely new players; and expect them to perform at their usual level. That would only lead to injuries to them. Because they lack the proper support.
God had already showed us the way to succeed with the Black Stars. He is not going to do it again. I don't expect Him to, because we need Him to show us the way to success in other areas.
Future success of the Ghana Black Stars rests squarely on our shoulders. It would come once we all start thinking scientifically, strategically; and also learn how to keep things in perspective.
May Lord Almighty continue to bless our beloved Great Ghana: Amen!!!
