An incompetent President fires an incompetent minister he appointed 8 months ago. This should have been the title of this story (article).
If the CEO of the business called Ghana hires an executive member of his team, and it turns out 8 months later that the man the CEO hired was downright incompetent, what do you think the Board of the business called Ghana should do to this CEO, considering the time and money he spent to hire this person.
I know a lot of Ghanaians, including the media, are not sophisticated enough to make this an issue and probably that is the reason why our country is in a shitty state of affairs. But the bigger question is this, did the CEO of the business called Ghana hire Dr. Mustapha Ahmed because they both come from northern Ghana, as it has become evident that the CEO recent appointments have disproportionately favoured people from the north (his own people). Or is it because Dr. Mustapha Ahmed has 'Dr.' prefixed to his name? We all wish we know the CEO's motivation for appointing this man to join his executive team in the sports portfolio, because judging from what we are this dude has no sports background and never been involved in sports administration in any capacity.
So why is the media, which is part of the Board, not asking questions and probing our CEO for explanation? It costs the business called Ghana a lot of time and money to confirm Dr. Mustapha Ahmed as sports minister - the parliamentary committee that vets our CEO's appointments must have spent a whole lot of time and resources on this particular appointment. Do we as Board members of the business called Ghana brush this under the carpet and pretend it did not happen? This has never happened in our short history since independence, and that is, for a President to appoint a minister and then turn around and fire him in 8 months for incompetency.
I guess in Ghana this is business as usual!!!
So how did he get the job if he had no experience of sport management
