  Any player can have a bda day BUT if you understood the article you would have realised when the opponents scored Portland pressed to score. By so doing they pushed forward making it easier for the opponents to counter attack upon winning the ball. that's why people say they park the bus and waait for a counter attack. in that sense no goalkeeper has a chance to stop all balls
