  Ghanaian sportsmen and women should not go to the games in the first place. The Zika virus which is a threat to the whole world, will add to the already manifold illments that we cannot contain in this part of the world. What can Ghana hope to get from the Olympics. Gold medals. How many? Versus the problems which the virus will bring. The cost certainly will outweigh any benefits we hope to obtain. The sportsmen and womenthemselves, should be concerned about themselves and their genration.

  Who recorded the Olympic qualification times of these Ghanaian athletes? Ioc reps or.time keepers from Ghana or africa bcos we know how these ppl on the continent love to take bribes to water down the numbers. If we are supporting these athletes by sending them overseas for scholarship etc and these athletes aren't showing any improvement in competitions or winning medals. Then something in gh athletics association is wrong and heads must roll

How many from the Sports Authority THEY SHOULD PUBLISH THE NAMES AND NUMBER AS WELL AS THE QUALIFYING TIMES AND RECORDS AND SELECTION CRITERIA. MARTHA BISSAH WON A GOLD MEDAL AT THE YOUTH OLYMPICS. SHE IS STILL ONLY 18 IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER TO SEND HER SO SHE COULD GET EXPERIENCE OF A BIG EVENT TO PREPARE FOR HER REAL CHANCE OF 2020. WHO ARE THE OTHER 8?

  As with prior Olympics, the Ghanaian athletes are going there for the joy of participating as their hopes of medalling is quite slim. It will be an accomplishment should any of the athletes even make it out of the qualifying rounds. It was published that none of the track and field athletes had attained the qualifying standards, now the sports minister has stated categorically that all eight track and field athletes have done so, but fails to name those meeting the standards. Which track meet did the athletes participate in in order to meet the qualifying standards?

  They are going to represent that's all. So Mr Sports Minister these athletes will not go past the second round so rest assure they will be on vacation anyway. None of them will medal
