  It could be for psychological reasons - not to put any pressure on the subject right away, or for educational purposes - to allow the new man to study his new colleagues and opponents in competitive action, or for strategic reasons - not to wrench the current formation yet, for tactical reasons - how he manages the ball with his colleagues when defending or attacking, or for circumstantial reasons - depending on the general playing style of the opponent of the day.
