Don't worry it looks like the event will be somewhere else anyway so who loses out? Ghana! And it's so rude to talk about African Americans as Slaves. what are you trying to achieve? Division? how do you expect African americans to care about africa if you call them slaves?? Bearing in mind it was their own african brothers who sold them into slavery in the first place. Black people don't stick together. This is a great event for whichever country ends up hosting it. Hope it will be Ghana but if not I'll be watching it anyway. Good for Africa!

What are you talking about? Why would I want to come to your house if you are going to look down on me as a slave and want to rob me??? African Americans don't owe Africa anything. However if Africans were more welcoming and decent towards african americans and in fact everybody, because you know racism works both ways, and I've seen/heard Africans all over africa being very racist towards whites, indians, and african americans, then maybe, just maybe Africa could actually start to prosper. We all have something to learn from each other but the african mentality is one of fear of outsiders, and too indulgent in custom and tradition and not open minded at all, judgemental and african americans just don't need that. But some good pr helps. Events like this help. They bring the african americans to africa and all other nationalities too and bring the continent to the fore. So instead of saying give us your money 'cos you owe us (what for?), say welcome, we would love to host this and we need it and we need you because we are one.

You just want their money. So I say again, events such as this, are very important in building bridges and bringing the different people together in a positive way and forging alliances. Why do you think countries fall over themselves to spend millions to bring world cup and olympics etc to their countries?? It's not because they love sports so much!
