They are instrumental in getting the tartan track out of the stadium under the disguised of having extra seating capacity for African Cup of Nations soccer tournament. After the games and with the change of govt they planned to privatize the stadium which back fired. Now he's taking advantage of lack of track competition and organizing it with corporate support and pocketing the funds. he needs to be audited and exposed. He's a fraud bigtime

Since when did Ghana perform well in the Olympics? These idiot will not cease to amuse. Ghana's last medal at the Olympics was a football bronze in Barcelona 92. In fact, the total medal haul for Ghana since 1960 is 5, with most coming from boxing. Traditionally, less than 50 of the over 200 countries get any medal of a sort. Rio 2016 is only a reflection of our performances over the years, including the NPP years, so no one should pretend that we could have done better under any circumstances.

I'd just like to say that my daughter, a Ghanaian, trains in the UK.She chose to represent Ghana even though she qualified for selection of GB youth team. She was advised by almost everyone not to but she was adamant. Her school specialises in training youth athletes. They have had Olympians in every Olympics since 1964 I think. They have two olympic medals on permanent display in their reception. This year they sent 8 youngsters to the Olympics and between them they won 4 medals (golds and silver).Every single one of the 8 youngsters that went to Rio for GB, came back with medals or top 8. My daughter is benefiting from this atmosphere but for the benefit of her country GHANA. She is getting great training, nutrition advice, physio etc and access to a higher level of standard of competition. She has won UK national titles, European titles, African Championships, finished 10th at COmmonwealth, 7th at the Mediterraneans. That means she's training and winning against her peers at an international level. BUT YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE THE ENORMOUS DIFFICULTIES FACED BY THIS YOUNG GHANAIAN ATHLETE.IT TAKES AN IRON WILL AND COMMITMENT (WHICH SHE HAS) TO CONTINUE REPRESENTING HER FLAG.And why does she do it? when I speak to her about switching back to GB she says 'no GHana is my country!' Even though her standard and results would qualify her for GB place if she went back to the GB circuit. She was even approached by other federations in Africa and asked to switch to another African country and refused SEVERAL TIMES! She arranged with her school for training of Ghanaians to be given a training course at her school and the Federation did not even respond. So it's very hard to do anything positive even when you can and are offering opportunities, with this kind of opposition to progress.I don't really understand it but that's the reason why anyone with talent stays away because as much as they may love their country and their history, their heritage and their flag, they get stopped in their tracks if they get too good as they actually become too knowledgeable. So for that reason, I believe that we need to have a safe haven to be allowed to speak up about these things without recrimination but with facts in an open way and have these issues listened to and dealt with. Sports federations are there for the athletes.
