  It´s a pity but the truth must be told. Mahama needs money to bribe the electorate so how do you expect him to find money for you guys. Ghana is broke. The only ones are those NDC big guns but Para olympics is not their priority, winning the elections at all cost is. Better look somewhere else for funds. Sorry

  People who participate in sports in the elite level, do it for the love of the sport and the desire to represent their country. In most countries, particularly the developed ones, most athletes fund their own training without any assistance from the government. There is no reason why Ghanaian athletes cannot do the same, but often look to the government for funding. Instead of appealing to the government for funds, the paralympic team should seek corporate sponsorship.

  True but the reality is that the market is not developed to the same extent.Furthermore paralympic support is very important because Africa has an unhealthy attitude towards disability and the whole idea of the Paralympic Games is to change society's attitudes. So in fact if anyone deserves support it is the small Paralympic team going to Rio because by participating they are actually helping make a difference and shift attitudes in often very hostile and conservative attitudes in society towards disability. I hope the Minister finds the funding to make this happen. It's VERY important for social reasons. Paralympians show that they are 'superhuman'
