lf you say you dont have the technical eye, why do you say you were robbed, typical blacks no matter the level of education is enept and dont accept responsibilty. misfortunes are witches, electoral defeats are rigging..etc

At least he was in the top 50% even though he got eliminated first round but the rest of them came last in everything and at huge expense.If you take a 14 year old swimmer to an Olympic game when that swimmer has NEVER won an international medal even in a youth category in Europe and expect them to not come last against 15 year olds who are setting records internationally or getting far better times?There is no way that that swimmer can make the grade by age 18 for the next Olympics because there is a massive gulf already.The boxer was not robbed, he came close but that's Olympic boxing, you have 3 rounds only so not much time to make adjustments.So he got eliminated right away. The women's relay was poor performance eliminated first round. And on and on. It is better to really analyze each sport the optimum age for each one. Most swimmers can only make good times for two Olympic cycles so if a 14 year old is making international times at age 14 it's ok to send them for experience so they can make the heats at the next Olympics. But that is not the case in the example of the two swimmers.Martha Bissah was the best runner to go but she was banned! She won a Youth Olympic Gold had great time from that and she would have at least been in the right race with a chance of getting passed the first round. She has talent but now she maybe completely ruined because she was 'robbed' by being banned by her Federation for silly ego reasons.The President of Athletics is the President of Ghana Olympics and he was angry at her so he just shelved her. A shame. It would have been better to send her than anyone else! what a waste.

The only way this problem can be solved intime for the next Olympics is if the ministry listen to real facts.that means listen to analysis and data and examine each sport and the athletes for each one. Not what they think they know, or what the federation proesidents tell them, because they make stuff up, but to analyse each individual sport and then decide who they have, who they need to recruit and who they need to invest in. better to focus on 6 or 7 individuals than throw money at the problem and hope that someone comes through because that has not worked yet and it will not work again. It's not rocket science and it's not magic either. It's not going to happen with wishful thinking. It's only going to happen by putting aside egos, alliances and favours and just look at the facts and make logic first not emotion or shady pr spin stories to go along with people who have absolutely no chance, not this time and not next time or the time after that. Don't forget every day you are training, someone else is training harder. So if a runner or a swimmer is way behind already, they are not going to be able to catch up. It's called sport! it's competitive! if you want to win you have to be fiercely competitive and very very accurate with analysis to get results.

You have a point. Throwing money at a problem usually doesn't solve it if you don't have an ACTUAL PLAN and a system to hold people accountable. Right now, the people that caused this mess are off scot free and all the people are left wondering why and then end up blaming the government or a minister which is not right or fair.So the government should demand accountability and a full report from every federation. They should have got everything in writing before they went but i'm sure they didn't, to say why they were selecting whoever they were selecting. Sonow they ccan pull that up and say ok why did you say that and why did this happen? Then they need to stop listening to the federation presidents, because they are all dodgy, and the GOC, and sit down and work out with proper expertise, a plan of what they want to do for the African Games and for Tokyo 2020. With a proper assesment and plan they can then go to the Federations and TELL THEM what they want from them. The whole system right now is run the wrong way round and that's why it's a disaster.
