People should get it into their coconut heads, the football teams are funded with private funds through through people's sweat&broil before the players become professionals. No political party supports the FA. The FA as an association only lend their players to the nation for national assignments. If Nii Lantey wants he should also form a team nature players with his own money and do whatever he wants with them. The FA is a private association just like Ghana Bar Association etc . After all is football the only sports under his ministry? What if private proper supporting club football says they are not interested in football anymore , what would he do? What has the P/NDC done for sports in terms of facilities since 1979 ? All the major sporting facilities in the country were provided by Gen ACHEAMPONG who was executed by JJ . K4 also did something significant by provided modern stadia and training pitches. What is the record of the NDC in sports infrastructure development . Zero. Cape Coast Stadium was even started by K4. He get off, wasn't Wayome around him when he launched his campaign in 2012. Populist stupidity.

Can you tell me one player, just one player the Minister had picked for the coach to call in the 'callup' business? If yes, which one is it? Please, name names to support your blind and blunt argument.

To refresh your dormant memory, the matter is a straight tussle between the government and the Ghana Football association.
To wit, Hon. Minister, Nii Lante Vanderpuije Versus the Federation's President, Osman Akwasi Nyantakyi.

You and I know, as well as Nii Lantey, the now Minister of Youth and Sports know, much as everybody in Ghana knows that, the PCI-Dzamefe commission had revealed the corruption
and other illicit practices code named 'coefficient' that erupted in Brazil when the gullible Ghanaians were not looking.

To be honest with you, the Government, and for that matter, the Minister sees Nyantakyi as one that has been embedded and codified with 'sikadiebasabasa' to the chagrin of everyone of us, including yourself.

To this end, the Minister in his God given wisdom, (a 'God sent' anyway) has come to put an end to these atrocities, corruption, nepotism, hatred and favouritism that have hitherto engulfed the GFA in the last ten years or so of Nyantakyi's thorny administration.

Some school of argument mongers have it in stock that, the Minister is right in his assessment of the Ministry's overall lean budget constraints that couldn't or cannot support funding for the insignificant match against Rwanda, the essence why he had advocated for a 'sieve thru' of the regular 'foreign' players in favour of GPL players.

Another school of thought have it to say that, the timing is, or was wrong since the players have already been invited, and on their way to camp.
The Minister; by his own volition, his own wisdom the 'fear no foe wisdom' issued a counter attack,i.e. the 'makamaka' type, the austerity measure any meaningful political leader under stress and duress would have normally issue out: "Menntua- No ticket nor any bonus"

Here, I partially agree with the Minister but to disagree with him in that bold showmanship of political power that transcends football politics.
In that, the match with Rwanda, even though has no qualifying significance
must have to be honoured, broke or no broke.
Since it is a task that must be accomplished, (like the incontrovertible Sanni Diarra admonished "face the wrath of the CAF/FIFA" the Minister in his same wisdom must go abegging with cup in hand for a loan in order to reimburse players on tickets and bonuses respectively.

On the other hand, the whole GFA has become a white horse, goofy window dresser. Has outlived its usefulness. No vision,no gumption, incompetence and above all, very insensitive to problems prompted by felt needs. and what have you?
Since they, the GFA is the "Football People" How could they not have envisioned and voluntarily advised the Ministry the need to make some adjustments on the match with Rwanda since it carried no weight on our qualification process months ahead of time?
In that, one wonders how they had failed or refused to know this if not for their parochial interest but to have left this all important adjustment to fallow and had expected the Ministry to think for them.

The Million dollar question is this: what is the GFA main scope of operation if not for football related operations?i.e. advising the Ministry in matters like the one at hand that have gone waste to breed all these unnecessary controversy?
Nyantakyi has erred in so many ways in his administration that is akin to the proverbial 'square peg in a round hole' mantra which we the Ogyakromians are clamouring for now. A stop gap?. A nonentity sort of.
The earliest we remove him, the better.
Osmanu-Nyantakyi must Go.
Shame on the mess.

Let's stop bringing politics into everything we do. The sports crew at Nhyira FM in Kumasi is doing a great job by analysing these statements made by you ministers. I recommend we listen to them.
