My brother, when you say a footballer is profligate, it means he wastes chances. He cannot score with the chances that come his way. So his profligacy cannot be compared to Ian Wright because Wright was a top scorer.

He used prolificacy which is the noun form of the adjective prolific. So the writer is correct. thank you
