If a whole country like Ghana do not have training facilities and athletes have tongo outside abroad to become better athletes then forget about winning any medal. The real champions are trained in their own country. They're are not trained by others. Elaine Thompson, Shelly ann Fraser price, usain bolt were all trained and schooled in Jamaica. If Ghana think they have to send athletes abroad to have a better chance then this country is useless paa. What is the use of our athletic board when others have to train our athletes for us? Nkrumah must be rolling in his grave

Well done Martha for your win. but that was just the beginning. Move on now. Like many people I think you were very badly treated and the management of the GAA is unforgiveable. However I think a lot of it is also just down to miscommunication and pride on both sides. You were the child and the athlete so they should have been clearer, fairer and patient with you. So there is no excuse for what they did toyou. However you also have to stand up for yourself and follow things through. don't rely on anyone. If you knew that they were working on a scholarship for you and needed your certificates you should have been down there everyday, calling them on the phone, going to their office doing whatever you had to do to get what you want. DO NOT RELY ON ANYONE.Figure out what you need and then go and get it. You can't be passive if you want to get to the top and do NOT rely on anyone.You have the talent just work on it.

At the end of the day theyended up banning her and suspending her indefinitely and then she could not go to the qualification and get to the Olympics. I just think that instead of looking for blame, as in the GAA is to blame for treating her like that, which they are abosolutely to blame, there is also the fact that martha should take things into her own hands, and stop relying on other people to fix things.She should have kicked up a huge fuss at the time and further ore to say that 'they ddidn't come and ask me for my certificates' is a bit weak and what I was saying is that if you want something, GO AND GET IT. dON'T HANG AROUND WAITING FOR THESE GUYS TO HELP YOU. THEY WON'T.

Just be proud of yourself, stick to your dream,appreciate whatever happens on your way,thank any one who aids you,pray to God for his quidance, don't talk too much about things that will disturb your forward going, stay focus and have faith in God.

They prefer to make you suffer in, out up and down just to see you fail. I wish if you have more energy you do more but not relying on them as people who will help you. Not even the so called government. If help comes fine but if it doesn't feel free and be ok.
