I agree. I think they've destroyed Martha's talent but hope she can bounce back. When a young athlete gets a result like that, she has to be carefully handled and kept on an even keel. What they did was they rocked the boat too much and because she is young, the feelings and anger and resentment and emotions may scar her so it may take a while for her to settle down again. They don't care about that because they care about their own egos and their own pockets. They should not have treated her like that. It's not too late for the President to ask what happened and in fact he will get a very good pr spin out of it by stepping in and being a father figure to this girl who has been completely destroyed by the actions of selfish and egotisitical men.

I agree. I think she is a real talent too which is what makes what they tried to do her particularly harsh and question whether they actually want success or are threatened by success. I think she can bounce back too. but she needs a bit of support out there. You can't leave her isolated. She needs to know Ghana and ghanaians are behind her which is why it is important if the Ministry has the balls to stand up to the GOC president and the President of the GAA to call a press conference and announce that they are reviewing what happened and they don't appreciate it at all and the President giving a message etc. In other words bring her back to the fold of Ghana and ghanaians and let everyone know she is important. that sort of pr spin will be very important for her. it will validate her, it will vindicate her and more importantly it will also send a message to the americans that she is significant so they'll take her more seriously and work with her in a more concentrated and robust way. If someone thinks you are valuable they get behind you. if they think no one cares about you you are left to struggle by yourself. So the government and the ministry are the only people that can rescue Martha's career now by vindicating her. I hope they do. She is a real talent.

Send this athelets to the best atheletics schools like Oregon, Florida State and Arkansas...they are the best out there. Community colleges in Texas ain't going to do them any good short and long term. U are such a disappointment and a failure to our dear nation.
