  It's interesting how our stars lose it after a brief shine. Atsu is one of the finest players Ghana has produced. He's known to command the left, midfield, with skillful play amidst mastery. And that's what has gained him attention on the soccer market. But it seems though, as many will agree, his shine seems to be short lived.
  The problem with many Ghanaian players is complacency. But soccer is a game of continual exercise, training and discipline. A good player cannot be complacent, lazy, involved in social vices.
  Take it or leave it.

  Atsu is fast and has great ball skills but is not a good finisher and does not put in crosses. So what happens is that he is exciting on the ball but he will not score as much as you think he is going to. Unfortunately, we have MANY players who are in that mold. Fast, skillful but cannot score. Then on the other hand, we have some very good defensive holding midfield types who are not going to score. We are missing the likes of Danny Nii Tackie Welbeck but it is too late now...

This pattern of performance is not impressive by any strecth of imagination and the earlier all well wishers make him to know how disappointing he is to force him to explode the better for him. Very soon if he does not take care he will become one of those players with so much potential that remained as that! potential

Go to where he comes from and ask about his school mates. I wish he will pull his socks and explode because for heaven sake he is not a kid. He is a grown up. I dont want him to be grouped among the many footballers who promised mountains and delivered half spoonfuls.Gradually Atsu is joining that infamous band. Let us tell him what he needs to hear so that he will double up and explode to his full potential. I am not selfish but rather wish he works hard to command a first team jersey. If after being in Europe for so long he cannot command a first team shirt at a lower division team in England then he is letting himself down. Look at the Parteys and Rhamans of this world. They are working hard to command first team jerseys in their teams at the top divisions of their respective leagues
