The GFA has shown a disregard to their fiduciary responsibility of safeguarding taxpayers' money, by paying to lodge the players in a hotel after arriving from the U-17 tournament. The wise decision on the part of GFA would have been to give the players funds to proceed to their various places of residences after arriving at the airport. How long did they intend to house the players at the hotel, when their services were no longer required after they were eliminated and sent home?

With such a contract in place the players will know in advance how much they are expected to be compensated as they progress through the tournament. This is the norm with most national teams in advanced countries. Why can't GFA have the players sign contracts?

It's ridiculous that everything has to be state supported, whether it's male or female football teams. The Black Stars and football is a never ending money pit of demands and they charge so much for their players, lots of 'officials' all their per diems and travel and bonuses. Bonuses for what??? Then there's no money left for the other athletes. It's madness
