No !! We have others. He may get injured after one game at AFCON. It is a hectic competition with 4 games being played in about 2 weeks. Gyan's body may not be able to take such pressure. We have others.

We should not be too reliant on Asamoah Gyan because he is just too old to play like his former-self with the intensity and full rigors of the African Cup of Nations.

Scoring goals is good but winning cups is the ultimate achievement in football. You display the silverware you have won, not the goals you have scored. When we had one of the best midfielder squad in the persons of Essien, Sule, Kevin, Captain Appiah, Pablo, etc, we could have done better in South Africa had it not been the rush and selfish behavior of Gyan which sent him into exile after missing our glorious penalty. He has done well for the nation, but there are a lot of question marks.
