It is not easy to comment on something you do not know the details for. I for one would have wish the detail is made known in order to ascertain where the GFA is justifiable or not. Take a look.

GFA, ask how much America spend on concacaf. Anytime there's a tournament, GFA makes sure that each and every member pocket is full or overfull. I hope Nana Addo will replace the current sports minister with someone as tough or tougher than him to check their insanely spending behavior.

Budget preparation is the responsibility of MOYS. The gfa only assists with budget inputs but the misguided minister and his cohorts have mischievously skewed the procedures into a heavy burden for the gfa.

Minister for Youth and Sports, Mahama Ayariga, has disclosed that government approved a total of GH¢18.5m for Ghana's preparation and participation in the 2015 AFCON tournament.

The minister made this known yesterday on the floor of Parliament in a statement on Ghana's participation in the tournament.

He said the amount comprises US$4,774,519.19 and GH¢ 3,242,580.

According to him, out of the figure an amount of US$932,740 and GH¢3,242,580 were approved for the boarding and lodging, air fare, perdiem, friendly matches and other expenses of the team for its training camp in Seville, Spain .

He said an amount of US$608,640 was also approved for allowances, boarding and lodging and other expenses for the players and officials for the tournament.

He informed the legislators that an amount of "US$3,224,138.20 was approved for the bonuses and honorarium for the players, technical and management teams as well as other officials of the team."

He also disclosed that the winning bonuses and honoraria of the technical team and other officials were reduced by between 20% and 30% of the previous payment structure.

However, soon after his presentation some members from the minority side of the House urged the minister to provide a much detailed expenditure breakdown for the public to know how their taxes were spent.

For some time now, even not so long ago Sannie Diarra made it publicly known that the GFA will not attach figures to any budget sent to the Ministry of Youth and Sports again because they the GFA have their integrity to protect since somebody in the ministry is out there to tarnish their hard-won image. Nyantakyi also said a lot of negative things regarding his relationship with the out-going sports minister and hope to enjoy a good relationship with the in-coming sports minister under the Akuffo Addo-led NPP government. My question is why send a budget now with figures attached? Has he forgotten than Nii lantey is still in office till 7th January 2017?
How much is being spent on each of the items mentioned in the budget? Please this is not NDC or NPP issue. Let us think about this as Ghanaians. Is the GFA being truthful to Ghanaians? Is Nii Lantey a bad and anti-football minister or it is the GFA which has crooks and corrupt members?
