He had scored 4 in 4 before the squad list came I think. I don't know why Tekpetey, a fringe player at Schalke was picked ahead of him.

Acheampong was scoring. Jordan wasn't.

I would have liked Waris in the team, though, because he, at least, has a predator's instinct.

Now it is AFCON and Waris got injured again and een though he Waris said he was fit, he was dropped. Now tell me Grant who apart from Ayew in the squad is a better inform Striker than Waris? To be honest, he had opportunities when Gyan was not around and he did not come through. I think what hurt him was the friendly against Canada when he was supposed to lead the line and he could not score. When there are friendlies against certain opponents that you are supposed to beat and you do not score then you can easily lose your position. The forward position is a tough one because your job is at risk every game.

I thought players not only play hard in their clubs to catch the eye of their home-country coaches, but also play their international games hard to catch or retain the interest of their club coaches.

If any of this two guys or both of them should pick up injuries from camp or in training. As a coach how will you feel ?. Tekpetey is not good as waris but the coach was depending on feetness, and Tekpetey was hundred percent feet than waris .But sometimes football is like that , so blame not the coach

Waris/Gyan combination under AA was fantastic. The guy was not selfish, he supported Gyan to be the lead attacker, and he scored when the time was right.
